Boys and Girls age 3 (by Oct. 31st) and 4 who are potty trained. Informal class in nature, this is a 30 minute class combining PreBallet, Creative Movement, and Tumbling focusing on balance, coordination, rhythm, and experience in a classroom structure.Teaching the love of music and movement through creative imagery, body awareness and space, and interacting with others in a positive manner. Preballet students perform a ballet dance in the recital.
Kinder-DanceCombo:
Designed for the 5 yr. old (or mostly kindergarteners)... this 45 minute long class now elaborates into the basics of tap, ballet, and acro.Focus lies more in starting off dance training with more thorough technique, body alignment, terminology, flexibility, strength, rhythm, formations, and continuing to demonstrate the love of dance.Jazz introduction is also included. Kinder-DanceCombo students will perform a tap dance and a ballet dance with a '2 in 1' costume for the recital.
Boys Combo
Boys ages 4 and up are invited to work with us working on flexibility, strength, motor skills, and some basic tumbling.Our Boys steal the show every year with their clever routine!

Ballet:
For ages 6 and up, Ballet is highly recommended as it is the staple of all dance styles.Focusing on proper body alignment, positions, terminology, balance, and the beauty and grace of this style, the ballet class incorporates, barre and centre work combined with combinations, turns, and leaps across the room.Also a prerequisite for Lyrical classes at more advanced levels.
Tap:
For ages 6 and up, we offer dancing with instruments on your feet!Recommended to be taken with previous or concurrent ballet training due to the similarity in body alignment, class structure (barre, centre, across the floor) and balance needed.Basic tap rhythms and steps are taught progressing to refined steps according to level.A multitude of styles are incorporated in this in this high energy musical class!
Jazz:
For ages 6 and up, Jazz is also recommended with previous or concurrent ballet training.Focusing on rhythm, flexibility, positions and isolation of muscles, combinations, turns, leaps, centre floor work,and expressing dance through movement.This energetic fun style inspired by the early Jazz Musicians is complimentary to ballet, and tap training, in addition it is a staple to further your dance training in Lyrical/contemporary dance.
Hip Hop:
For ages 6 and up. A combination of breakin’, poppin’, oldschool, b-boying, and freestyle are combined in this modern style of dance seen today.Done to clean and tasteful music, kids can learn the fun and funky style seen almost everywhere. Basic class structure, history, coordination, musicality, flexibility and strength are still taught as in the staple dance classes.
Acrobatics:
For ages 6 and up, Acrobatics and Tumbling is equivalent to the floor exercise in gymnastics.Some actual “acrobatics” (where partner stunts and lifts are done) are incorporated to make this class one of the favorites.Focusing on safety first, with flexibility and strength, “acro” becomes a personal endeavor for each child building confidence, self esteem, and a healthy body image challenging children on their own individual level.Our Acro productions steal the show each year. (This past year was "Peter Pan")
Lyrical:
For ages 8 and up with concurrent ballet training (Mandatory ballet classes for lyrical are discounted).Focusing on basic ballet technique with turns and leaps now expressing the emotion of dance.More undulations and modern techniques are applied to dance feeling in addition to rhythm. Contemporary movement is also included to make the lyrical instruction have the face of many forms.Your dancer will learn how to express emotion through facial expressions and bodily movements in this fulfilling style of dance.
Irish:
Traditional Irish Soft shoe and traditional reels are taught under the guidelines of the Irish Dance Commission in Dublin, Ireland, the Irish Dance Teachers's Association of Mid-America, and the North America Irish Dance Teacher's Association. Soft shoe transitions to the hard shoes as technique progresses the way a ballet dancer progresses to Pointe. Irish students may be invited to participate in local feiseanna's or competitions.
Adult Tap Our adults can experience the joy of dance also in a more casual way but with a great workout. Our Tappers are still at a beginner/intermediate level getting a good workout, better flexibility, and a basic understanding of the steps and combinations involved. Great music, great workout, and great fun!! Our ladies have been known to steal the show each year (which is optional to participate in, of course!!!)
