What is Required:

          All Students must be potty trained at least 3 years old by October 31^st.  Any color leotard with tights and pink leather ballet shoes.  Small skirts are permitted, but please avoid costume type large skirts as they inhibit movement.  No undergarments are worn with dance apparel.  Hair should be securely tied away from the face with no bulky hair barettes or jewelry. Also label all items. 

What you can expect:

          An extension of preschool, preballet encourages a most positive first year into the dance world.  Learning dance through creative imagery, playful songs, usage of props, and visual terminology introduce the beginning basics of dance.  Rudimentary steps, loco motor skills, classroom structure, and working with peers are also focused on.  Class time will include circle time, song time, across the room, playful exercise, beginner dance steps and (their favorite)... mat time. 

Preballet performs a ballet/character dance in our Spring Recital.  Costumes average around $50.
